Compete
To compete and prove your skill, simply follow these 3 steps:
- Use a digital camera or other device to record a video of you doing any of the skillchamps drills. - Background music and profanity are prohibited.
- Upload your video to one of these popular video sites and copy your video's embed link: www.youtube.com, www.godtube.com, www.dailymotion.com and www.vimeo.com. These sites have file limits of 10 minutes in length and 100 megabyte file sizes, so make sure you compress your video to under 100 megabytes when transferring it from your camera to your computer if necessary. If you hope to play college basketball do not upload your video to a site that pays you when your video plays because an American national athletics association has informed us that that web site's paying you for your basketball video may end your amateur status and prevent you from playing college basketball.
- Complete the form below to create your own section at skillchamps and include the embed link for your video. You must click on the Add Talent button at the bottom of this page.
NCAA student athletes are eligible to compete, but may not be awarded champion crests. Others should, before entering, contact their state or local athletic association or college coach to confirm that entering does not affect eligibility.
Do not alter your video. Provide only accurate statistics. Coaches will ask you to repeat the drill in person and provide evidence of the information you provide below. If you can't repeat it or can't provide supporting evidence, doubts will arise about your character and coaches will select more dependable players. Coaches communicate. Therefore, not being truthful here will harm your future by burning a number of bridges before you even reach them.
